THE ORIGIN STORY

It started with a vision. As an avid fragrance collector, I spent over a year searching for a very specific scent profile—something that felt distinctly mine, but didn't exist on the market. Having worked in a chemical lab as a data analyst, I’ve always been obsessed with the science of chemistry and formulation. I realized that if I wanted scent profiles made with absolute precision, uncompromised quality, and real creative independence, I needed to create them myself. I bought my first perfumery tools, immersed myself in formulation, podcasts, and raw materials every waking second, and began compounding. What began as a personal mission to create the exact scents I wanted turned into Vice of Vieve.

SCENT AS IDENTITY

Whether you realize it or not, scent is a core part of your identity. It’s the invisible signature you leave in every room you enter. Scent has the power to shift your reality—it can elevate yoga pants into an intentional cozy moment, complete a wedding dress, or give you that sharp edge on a high-stakes boss day.

Vieve comes from my name, Genevieve. And while "vice" usually gets a bad rap, not all vices are bad. Scent is mine. From fine fragrance and home atmosphere to laundry and car scents, surrounding myself with incredible fragrance brings joy not just to me, but to the people around me. There is nothing like someone walking up to you with a massive smile just to tell you how good you smell. It’s an instant pick-me-up.

Vice of Vieve isn't a hands-off, white-labeled operation. Every single formula is developed, tested, and compounded in-house. I am 100% hands-on with every aspect of this brand—from raw material sourcing and product development to graphic design, web code, and hand-pouring every batch daily.
